Playing Catch Up

I believe God has His ways of entertaining Himself.  Take, for example, Time.  It comes and goes and comes and goes again and we humans are always chasing after it, trying to catch up with it.  In many ways it isn't unlike a puppy whose master teases it by pretending to throw a fastball and the puppy turns around looking for it: "Where did it go?"  The master gets a kick out of it EVERY time.
Yes, I am convinced the key to a well-run home is good time management.  It only took me 36 years to figure it out. But, boy, once you get that and you're taking charge of the hours God grants you by filling it with useful and necessary tasks, then Time becomes a fast friend.
With that said, as I strive to get this clunking blog into a well-oiled and well-run machine I will have to carve out time more regularly to contribute to our wavering blog.  So, in the mean time, here I am, and here are some pictures from this years' All Saints Day party.  They're late.  Give me some time to catch up.
Can you guess who's who?  No? Okay, Simon is St. George ( see the little dragon hanging by his side?) Ezra is a spitting image of St. Dominic Savio, if I do say so myself, and Mila is St. Kateri.  I was actually St. Gianna Molla and Augustin was the baby she holds in her iconic pose but in all the hustle and bustle we forgot to take the picture.  He looked something like this:

I should probably include some pictures from Halloween as well.  I like this one:

October Fun

Trunk or treat.

Mila as St. Agnes and St. Francis by her side:

Seaworld. Cool.

Orlando. Cool.

Making wine.

October saw a LOT of action! A visit from Nonno and Nonna was just the beginning. We went to St. Augustine and we went to Seaworld. It was amazing but now I know the real reason why they call it SEAWORLD: those SEA people really want to 'sea' us parents push their kids the longest and farthest to go on as many rides and see as many aquatic creatures before we rush out of the park so as not to miss the shuttle back to the hotel then completely crash, while THEY laugh and cheer and swim in our cold, hard-earned tax-bitten cash! Kids had fun though.
For Halloween we celebrated All Saint's Day at our church, Mila was St. Agnes and Ezra was St. Francis of Assisi and Simon a turtle that followed St. Francis around.
For an interesting take on Trick or Treating we went Trunk or Treating and that turned out to be good ol'fashioned fun! You decorate your trunk and park and kids go from trunk to trunk loading up on sweets.
They will now spend the rest of November forming cavities.
Busy busy busy.

All Hollows Eve

To celebrate the day in which we recall the triumphant victory of all those who have persevered in this valley of tears and are now, consequently, enjoying the perpetual bliss of the beatific vision, Mila, Ezra and their cousin Aidan took to the streets, begged for treats, and gorged themselves on their booty. A good time was had by all! O death where is thou sting?!
